Memories of the arctic

It's been a few years since I've said, "Hey kids! We're getting snow tomorrow--that means it's warming up!"

(Although in Alaska, my daughter still went out to recess until it was -20 degrees. Here, school is closed because it is currently -14. (The wind chill is -30 and even things in Alaska shut down at -30, so I guess I can't put down the school. The kids, of course, are thrilled!))

It sounds like here. M didn't have school today because of the weather. I talked to dad today, and he asked about the weather, I told him it has warmed up to -10! I'm not sure what the wind chill is, but I know it's cold! I can't believe you did this for that long up in Alaska!

Katie is still praying for snow this year. We're going to have to take her up North for a ski weekend or something here before she bursts.
