'Tis the season

We received our first measurable snow of the season during the night. Every other school in town seems to be on a two-hour delay except for the school my children attend. It doesn't bother me a bit but they were a little sad to get out of the car and gingerly traverse the school parking lot at the normal time this morning.

I think the temps will warm to the 40s tomorrow so it won't stick around too long but I think we'll get more this weekend. I guess I know what our (their) Saturday plans will be!

How's the weather where you are?

I sent you pictures a few minutes ago. We had our first snow day today. They were on a 2 hour delay here, but then went ahead and cancelled school. We have had about an inch since Monday, but then we had 4 more today. The kids had a blast! I'm still trying to figure out how to get them inside without the snow going everywhere...any tips?

In sunny North Florida, we had a low last night of 37 with a high this afternoon of 61 (but it felt much warmer). A beautiful day!

It's in the 70's right now although we are getting a cold rain storm and the temps will dip into the 50's.

I'm not really into cold weather. Our mountains should get some snow...just where I like it.

We had light rain/ice falling for much of the morning. It's 31 degrees outside and I'm still shivering. Looks like we're going to have a weekend of more of the same. I much prefer a good old snowstorm. This wet/icy stuff is just ick!

Just realized I'm a day behind. Yesterday here wasn't so bad!

Joey,
Snow blowing in or just falling off of your kids? ;) I put a beach towel down by the door and we drop shoes, jackets, mittens, etc. right there! I hang them up (gear, not the kids) after the kids are dry and doing something else.

Kellie,
This stuff is fun for now but we'll have to plan a trip home to FL about February! ;)

Rene,
I hope you can enjoy the warm weather soon and just travel to the mountains when you want winter--that sounds like the perfect combo!

Tracy,
Wet/icy is no fun at all! I hope the weather has improved!
