It is time for a pet

"If I could be a big brother, I'd clean up the poop."

"You mean you would change the baby's diapers?" I ask.

"Yes! I would wipe the poop off of the baby."

"It's real poop, C!" N adds.

"I know."

"Yeah, I'd change the diapers too if we could have a baby," she agrees.

While I appreciate the team effort, it seems it's time for a puppy--and a shovel.

I've tried to ask M to change R when he has a messy one, his answer is always "oh no way, that smells!". M was asking about a puppy around Christmas, but since we still don't know what our plans are, we are still petless (that and he is still afraid of lots of other people's dogs still). Good luck with either choice :) If you want another baby, we still have all the "family baby" stuff. I will be happy to share!!

Joey,
LOL! We'll see...but at least for now, you can hang on to your baby stuff!
The kids would love both a baby and a puppy! Hubbie would like a puppy.

A Family pet is great to have. I found they teach many responsibilities and young lessons. A simple Guinea Pig has brought plenty of joy to Katie and has also taught her that eating veggies is cool.

However, I'm under pressure to have another "baby" instead. Eeek!

H said when she prays with the girls that they ask her for another baby, but at least from the Daddy side that is a medical impossibility. However, I am always open to becoming an uncle again!! And, it gives us even more of a reason to visit your new place.

I'm with your kids...bring on another. H said she'll add you guys to the prayer list.

My kids definitely don't want another baby around. They hate sharing as it is. And they are terrified of dogs! And they are allergic to cats. I'm glad. I grew up with a house full of pets and I rather enjoy not having them.
