Baby steps

I recycle, put E85 into my fuel tank and try to remember to bring my own bags to the grocery store.

Now that we have brought another child into the world however, it is time to work a little harder at lessening the impact we are making on the planet.  Yes--I know it is quite overdue--it is time to stop using disposable diapers.

For those of you who are already more evolved than I, perhaps you can share your wisdom. Any favorite brands?

cloth diapers took me so amazingly much research, my head spun. As an easy transition, you may want to try "g" diapers. They're a cloth outer with a flushable, biodegradable inner. other than that your options are AIO (cover and diaper all in one...easy peasy), fitteds (need a cover but no folding or pins), or prefolds (the kind you fold on and secure with a pin or snappi). So brand depends on how much $$ and what kind you want to go with. Let me know what you think, I can recommend some!

Poopsy,
I was looking at the "g" diapers--glad to see that you've mentioned them!
I did not want to worry about the pins with the other two but it looks like there are many options with no pins whatsoever--that's what I need!!!

I will look some more as well but thank you! (My head was spinning as well, hence the request here.) Thanks!

fuzzi bunz and happy heineys are some of the more expensive, but super nice and cute AIOs. And wool covers (like aristocrats and stacinator) are AMAZING.

I went ahead and ordered some "g" diapers but now that I'm wondering if I should have ordered AIOs. Maybe I'll give them a try a bit later, too!
Thanks for the input!
