I don't want to know

My son was asking if it was possible for him to go to Hell before he'd made his First Reconciliation. Now that he only has two months before making that First confession, he has moved on. Now he wants to know how much time people spend in Purgatory.
Hopefully attending Catholic school will be good for him--he certainly knows Someone is watching him--but I'm a little worried about what he has been up to!

That would make me wonder too! What is he doing that he knows is wrong, but just how wrong?? :) Fun times :) See...I knew there was a reason my boys aren't in catholic school(well, that and we don't belong to any churches so far)....they just know they have to face Mom and Dad, which right now seems to be enough. They don't know about purgatory...otherwise I'm sure we would get some of the same questions...just how much can I get away with? Good luck!

tell you son he will spend less time in Purgatory if he keeps his room clean. You could use this to your advantage!

Awww, how adorable. Katie is at this stage where she is aware of her own "matters of heart." Feeling guilty for some of her opinions and feelings due to her selfishness. As a Mom, this is an amazing time to watch our child discover and improve upon her character.

Thanks! Good luck with yours as well--no day is ever boring!

I really like the way you think!

It is really amazing. (A little worrisome at times but your right...more amazing than not!)

Stumbled upon your blog by way of Lessons from the Laundry.
My kids think someone is cursing when they say "shut up"... so it could be something very minor.
Congrats to him on what will be a very big and important year.
